In a talent grab, Twitter “welcomed the Posterous team to the flock” with its acquisition. Posterous competed with the likes of WordPress, Blogger, TypePad, and Tumblr. For now, Posterous Spaces will continue operating without disruption and Twitter promises plenty of notice if that’s going to change. The company also promised instructions to backup and migrate their data to another service would be made available in the upcoming weeks.
